The Director, Patient and Payer Master Data Management will be responsible for overseeing the management, quality, and integrity of patient and payer data across the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of data management principles, healthcare data standards, and the ability to lead a team effectively. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data management strategies, policies, and procedures.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the patient and payer master data management team to ensure accurate and timely maintenance of patient data. Includes Product Ownership, accountability for operations, roadmap development and ensuring needs of all IDS sleeves from patient & payer mastering needs are met. Develop and implement data management policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data quality and integrity. Collaborate with various departments to ensure data consistency and resolve data-related issues. Oversee the integration of patient / payer data from multiple sources and ensure compliance with healthcare data standards and regulations. Monitor and report on data quality metrics and implement corrective actions as needed. Provide training and support to stakeholders on data management best practices and tools. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in data management technologies and practices. Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in health information management, Data Science, or a related field; master’s preferred Minimum 10 years in data management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role Strong knowledge of healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and regulations (e.g., HIPAA) Proven experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry with deep understanding of patient data management Proficiency in data management tools and software Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to foster collaboration and innovation across cross-functional teams Skilled in managing multiple projects and driving product lifecycle strategies Desirable Requirements
15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a strong focus on patient data management Proven track record of enabling data-driven decision-making at senior leadership level, addressing complex business challenges
